We are looking for Volunteers to help us from 9.30 am until 11.00 am
Our Sponsors this year are Stay In Suffolk who have sponsored this event for Southwold for a few years now. We truly appreciate their generosity . It is highly important because it covers upfront costs, reduces financial risk, and boosts the event's credibility for a charitable event fundraising for charities. All events cost a great deal of time , money and effort to put on as we all know. Its traditional and Blyth Valley Rotary has run this event, since taking it over from Derek and Theresa Baggot, who ran the Red Lion Public House in Southwold.
Registration opens at 9:30 AM (wristbands must be worn); the prompt start is at 10:30 AM.
Location: Beach below the cannons at Gun Hill (IP18 6HF).
Cost: Around £15 to £20 (fees vary for advance vs. on-the-day registration).
Charities: to be announced
Fancy dress: Highly encouraged with a prize for the best costume. But optional.
Facilities: No official changing rooms or secure storage are provided on-site.
Spectators: Free to watch and cheer from the shore.
The event may be cancelled if the weather is likly to affect human safety. We are advised by the RNLI
